What is the format of an IELTS test?
What is IELTS Academic and IELTS General Training?
IELTS Academic is for those who are applying for higher education or professional registration while IELTS General training is for people who are going to an English-speaking country for secondary education or work-related training.
The Listening and Speaking section for both IELTS Academic and IELTS General Training are the same. However, the contents of the Reading and Writing will be different.
If you are in doubt as to which module to take, you should contact the organisation to which you are applying to confirm their requirements.
What is IELTS for UKVI?
The actual test taken is the same for both IELTS and IELTS for UKVI (same content, examiners, format, scoring). The only difference is that IELTS for UKVI is administered in a test venue with video recording and CCTV facilities.
What is the passing score?
Contact the organisation you are apply to if you are unsure of your minimum band score requirement.
Where can I take the IELTS exam?
Venues for IELTS UKVI and computer-delivered IELTS are in Manil and Cebu.
Where should I register?
How I can register?
Before you book your test, make sure you have a valid ID (passport, GSIS/SSS ID, PRC license or UMID) at hand. You can pay via credit card or bank transfer. Registration should be made at least a week before your preferred written test date.

When will I get the results?

How long do I need to prepare/How long is the review?
Higher band score requirement means a longer preparation.
Proficiency: if you are very proficient in English, it may take a shorter review period.
Time: if you’re still working and can manage only manage to review twice a week, it will take longer.
We would recommend 2 months at the very least. On average, our students review for 3-4 months before taking the test.

When can I take the mock exam?
Take the mock test when
- you have completed the listening and reading practice tests and reached your required score.
- you have a good grasp of what you need to do in writing your essays and can complete a task 1 and 2 essay in an hour.
- you are planning to take the IELTS test soon (take the mock exam AT LEAST 3 weeks before your intended test date).
There are 2 mock exams scheduled in a month (check review center’s calendar). ADVANCE NOTICE is needed. Write your name on the Mock Exam Sign-up Sheet at the review center or click ‘Going’ on the events page of Agentic Inc. Study Group.

When can I take the timed task?
Take the timed tasks when
- you want to get a general feel of what it’s like to complete the test under timed conditions.
- you want to prepare for the mock exam.
- you want to condition yourself for taking actual test.
There are 4 timed tasks scheduled in a month (check review center’s calendar). ADVANCE NOTICE is needed. Write your name on the Timed Tasks Sign-up Sheet at the review center or click ‘Going’ on the events page of Agentic Inc. Study Group.
