You are provided with listening practice tests at the review center. Compare your response to the correct answers. Where did you earn the most marks? Where did you have misunderstandings?

4. Work on weak areas

Identify challenging questions and sections and have a read about helpful tips. Seek the advice of our instructors.

5. Broaden your listening

Watch a TED Talk online, or listen podcasts on wide range of topics. Watch English language movies with different accents.

Learn everything you can about the writing section (format, timing, task types, how it’s marked).

2. Know the writing criteria

Understand the requirements and basic skills needed to answer the writing task.

3. Write different types of essays

Practice answering a variety of writing task 1 and task 2 questions. Complete the exercises and study sample essays. The writing activity that corresponds to these lessons are found in the Review/Apply Tab.

4. Get and apply feedback 

Have you essays checked by our instructors. Schedule a one-on-one conference to further clarify feedback given.

5. Time your writing

Having written a few essays and receiving feedback from them. Start writing under timed conditions by completing task 1 and task 2 in one hour.

6. Attend workshops and in-class activities

Workshops are excellent ways of checking your understanding, applying what you have learned online, and getting immediate feedback from instructors. Check the schedule on the events page or Facebook group (Agentic Inc. Study Group).

7. Edit and proofread your work

Practice editing and proofreading your essays. Look back at your old written work. Identify and correct common grammar/word choice errors. Replace repetitive or simple vocabulary and sentence structures for stronger ones.

8. Just write

Get into the habit of writing. Write about any topic for 5 minutes or write a blog about anything. You’ll notice that writing becomes easier over time.

2. Practice answering sample questions

3. Work with instructor

Schedule a speaking simulation, then a coaching session.

4. Widen your vocabulary

Watch a recent movie and note down any idiomatic language you hear. Try using it in your everyday spoken English.

5. Record yourself

Record your answers to sample questions or record yourself talking about an any topic for 2 minutes. Listen and evaluate yourself.

2. Try out different sample questions

These are provided at the review center. Compare your response to the correct answers. Where did you earn the most marks? Where did you have misunderstandings? Read the text again. Can you find all the correct answers now?

4. Time your reading

Once you are familiar with format and have working strategy for answering the question, start completing the reading test in one hour.

5. Work on weak areas

Identify challenging questions and sections and have a read about helpful tips. Seek the advice of our instructors.

6. Broaden your reading

Read an article from newspaper or magazine. Try writing a summary of it by identifying the key points. Note down words and expressions that are used to link the paragraphs or ideas.

Assess Readiness

Based on your scores and feedback, check if your estimated score is close to your band score requirement and if you can get the same outcome every practice test.
