Note: Many students overuse and misuse modifiers. Remember that not every verb noun or verb needs to be modified, only those where the modifiers are really meaningful. Another common problem is exaggeration. Students sometimes like to use the word dramatic, for example, even when the change they are describing is not very sticking at all, and the word significant would be more suitable.
